Ground Zero Pools & Spas is owner-run by Dorian Christopher — a second-generation builder who has been around water and pools since childhood.
The story
Dorian grew up on job sites beside his father, a builder known across Missouri as “The Pool King.” Before he could drive, he could read a set of plans, tie steel, and tell when a shell was going to hold up — or wasn't.
That apprenticeship turned into 20+ years of hands-on building. In 2019 he founded Ground Zero Pools & Spas on the principle he was raised with: do the work properly the first time, because water finds every shortcut eventually.
Today Ground Zero builds custom in-ground pools, remodels tired ones, and applies plaster finishes for homeowners and businesses across the Kansas City metro — with the same standard on a small backyard build as on a commercial project.
